Konditori Artisan Bakes is a European-style bakery located in Bussorah Street known for its gourmet selection. Its wide selection of bread and pastries has made it very well-known in the area.

When it comes to size and look, we love how the bakery is set in two side-by-side shop fronts. The left side focuses on selling sourdough and savories while the right side offers cakes and pastries.

Customers have to wait in line to get their favorite pastries. Sometimes, the wait will take longer, especially during peak days, but many agree that the wait is worth it.

One of the highlight products at Konditori Artisan Bakes is its croissant. They are large and very tasty.

While Konditori Artisan Bakes is slightly on the pricier side, the quality of the food more than justifies the cost for many people.

Cons

Mother Dough, located in Jalan Kledek, offers an impressive variety of bread and pastries, made with quality ingredients and baked fresh daily.

This means that every pastry is newly made and perfect for snacking, especially in the morning and at noon.

The sourdough pastries at the bakery are made with a secret ingredient that was brought over from a bakery in New York City. Years of testing out various ingredients have given it its outstanding excellence.

The menu of this establishment features a range of options, from sourdough baguettes to buttery croissants, and there is something for everyone, including those with a sweet tooth.

Customers love to mention the bakery’s almond croissants and we agree! It’s definitely one of the best options here in Singapore.

We also appreciate how the bakery offers seating on the second floor, providing a comfortable ambiance for hanging out with friends.

Additionally, Mother Dough accepts gift cards, making it a great option for those looking for a budget sweet treat.

However, while the food and atmosphere are impressive, we’d like to mention that the service could use some improvement.

Despite this, Mother Dough remains an excellent choice for pastry lovers in Singapore, with its focus on quality ingredients, international techniques, and the love put into each item.

Pros

  • Online store
  • Impressive selection
  • Great options for dessert
  • Large servings
  • Fresh ingredients
  • Dynamic menu

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Signature pastries can sometimes be out of stock

The Bakehaus is another great bakery in Singapore. What makes it special is that it combines traditional methods of baking and more modern techniques.

This creativity brings about new and unique artisan bread that can’t be found anywhere else.

In order to deliver the best taste, flavor, and texture, the bakers here utilize only the best ingredients and use natural procedures, long and slow fermentation, and optimum timing.

Additionally, they don’t use any additives, preservatives, or chemicals in their products. To assure the greatest quality, the bulk of their loaves are produced with a sourdough starter made from natural wild yeast and fermented for at least 16 hours.

However, because of this process, the time to finish a batch takes a while so sometimes, the bakery can be out of stock of its signature bread and pastries.

To solve this, the staff of Bakehaus tends to make changes in its menu and loves to add new varieties of pastries every 6 – 8 weeks. This keeps the customers excited to try out new types of bread.

The only other drawback of this establishment is its pricing. Because of the high-quality ingredients and the effort it takes to make its signature pastries, the baker rates are a bit high.

Pros

  • Unique flour from France & Japan
  • Impressive menu
  • Large servings
  • Online shop
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Can be difficult to contact at times
  • Pricey

Bakery Brera is a unique bakery because of its dedication to only using high-quality flours from France and Japan. These types of flour, along with the best ingredients, create delicious baked goods.

We appreciate the warm mood of the store, as well as the quality of the baked items it offers. We love the rustic ambiance of the bakery and customers can check out the wide selection while listening to relaxing music.

The Japanese and French flour that the bakers in this establishment use contribute to the rich flavor and texture of their baked goods.

Additionally, they ensure that their creations are made of natural ingredients, opting not to use preservatives that can compromise the final products.

The signature croissant, the kouign-amann, and the cruffins are all high-quality and delectably delicious.

However, our personal favorite was the basque burnt cheesecake. These have to be ordered in advance because of the long process it takes to finish the pastry.

Despite some complaints about the high prices of their baked goods, we think that the delicious taste and quality of the ingredients make it worth the extra cost.

Additionally, the bakery offers online ordering, so customers can easily order and pick up their favorite pastries conveniently.

Pros

  • Open daily
  • Great dessert options
  • Healthy options
  • Impressive menu
  • Unique Japanese pastries

Cons

  • Expensive

Asanoya Boulangerie first opened in Tokyo, and since then, it has expanded to a location in Singapore. The Singaporean branch is its first international store and is already very well-known in the area.

Located on Queen Street, the bakery has become very popular and can sometimes be crowded due to its popularity. It opens at 8:30 AM, so we recommend coming early to avoid long queues.

Even though it already has multiple locations in other countries, the people behind Asanoya still use flour sourced from Japan to preserve the original taste and quality of the pastries it offers.

One of the best things about his establishment is its impressive menu, which includes unique Japanese pastries such as wagashi, Japanese cream puffs, and more. It also has healthier options for those on a diet, which is something we appreciated.

The bakery is open daily, making it a convenient stop for anyone in need of a delicious treat. However, the products can be on the expensive side due to their premium quality and international value.

Overall, Asanoya Boulangerie is a bakery that offers a unique experience, with a focus on traditional baking methods and high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a healthy snack or a sweet indulgence, this bakery is sure to impress.
