Trapped Escape Room Singapore offers a one-of-a-kind experience, thanks to their incredible attention to detail and creativity.

You can choose from the creepy thrills of “The Cursed Video Tape” or “Ravenhill Asylum,” the spooky suspense of “The Insidious Hostel Warlock,” or the strategic fun of “The Great Escape” and “The Strangest Things.” There’s something for everyone.

If you’re into solving mysteries, don’t miss out on “The Attic” and “The Alchemist’s Cabinet of Curiosities.” A customer we talked to said these rooms offer the most chilling and fascinating adventure they ever experienced.

Each room is carefully crafted with amazing details and an immersive atmosphere. The staff is friendly and always there to help, making the whole experience even better.

However, the rooms can get quite crowded during peak hours, which might detract from the immersive experience and make it difficult to book a session at a preferred time.

Pros

  • Incredible attention to detail and creativity
  • Offers a variety of themed rooms
  • Immersive room atmosphere
  • Friendly and helpful staff

Cons

  • Rooms can get quite crowded
  • Booking a session may be difficult during busy periods

Impeccable service and superb team management
“Super fun and fulfilling team building activity. The hosts were really good at their tasks and responsibilities. Impeccable service and superb management of crowd (we came in a Tuesday afternoon, but the crowd came in throws after throws). They were articulate and were ready with answers to queries from us like they had it all at the back of their hand. One setback is the space constraint outside the venue. But not within their control. There are soft benches nearby to rest in between sessions, and toilet is just a minute away. Overall a good place for team bonding and fostering rs. Our group were 8-9 pax per team (17 of us). Challenges were attainable (some rooms more difficult than the other-do ask level of difficulty before selecting).”

Engaging and mysterious experience
“Most of our 7-person team’s first time trying an escape room, so we had a blast despite not really knowing what to expect but going in with an open mind. We went with the “Stranger Things” game, and received clear instruction pre-game, with good sized lockers for our backpacks and personal wares. The game was carried out with a satisfying amount of mystery and variables, and the puzzles had a good range in levels of difficulty. We could easily put two and two together to know the answers we had to look for, even if we had to go round and round fumbling our brains seeking for the means to solve them. All in all, there was a moderate amount of adrenaline to be had, and all you have to do is to listen and watch carefully for the clues. We had to employ the helpline a few times, but still had a good time as a way to team up to make our escape before the timer runs out.”

The Escape Artist is not just one of the first escape rooms in the city, having opened back in 2013, but it’s also among the best for both its physical and virtual offerings.

You’ll get to solve awesome puzzles in rooms like “The Scientist,” where you delve into a mysterious lab, and “The Legend of the Werewolf,” which throws you into a thrilling mystery with an ancient curse.

If you’re a fan of thematic puzzles, check out “Aokigahara”—it’ll plunge you into the spooky vibes of Japan’s haunted forest.

Plus, there’s a cool virtual escape room called “Escape From Pulau Tekong” that you can enjoy without leaving home.

On the downside, if you’re a seasoned escape room enthusiast, you might find some puzzles and clues a bit on the easy side, which could be less challenging for you.

Pros

  • Established in 2013
  • Offers both physical and virtual escape room
  • Variety of engaging rooms
  • Friendly and passionate staff

Cons

  • Some puzzles may be too easy for experienced players

Fun, challenging puzzles
“Our team had an amazing bonding day with the folks at The Escape Artist, from the time we communicated on booking the place (Thanks, Edrin!) right up to the event day (Thanks, Iris and team!). My colleagues and I enjoyed the fun experience due to the challenging puzzles, appropriate ambience and friendly staff. Kudos!”

Wonderfully designed and family-friendly escape experience
“We loved the Gatecrash escape experience. So wonderfully and cleverly designed … and a whole lot of fun! Would highly recommend it to all, especially as it’s not at all scary – our 8 and 9 year old kids were fine throughout and helped out! The staff at Escape Artist are so friendly and courteous too.”

LOST SG Escape Room is one of the coolest spots in Singapore, thanks to its high-tech, immersive escape rooms! With five distinct themes to choose from, everyone is sure to find something they love.

Love a good thriller? The “Alcatraz” room lets you break out of a high-security prison. Looking for a spooky challenge? The “Mausoleum” room has you outwitting an ancient army.

These themed rooms are all 60-minute games and can accommodate up to 12 players, perfect for a group adventure.

And if you’re running into a tricky puzzle, they’ve got game masters ready to help out if you get stuck. It’s no surprise that the place has been featured in The Straits Times and on CNA938, which we think solidifies its popularity.

The downside? It can get pretty crowded since they can host up to 60 people at once. So, it might feel a bit hectic during peak times.

Pros

  • High-tech, immersive escape rooms
  • Offers distinct themes for variety
  • Includes thrilling and spooky challenges
  • Game masters available to assist
  • Featured in top publications

Cons

  • Can become crowded

Perfect balance of challenge and creativity

The puzzles were cleverly designed, offering a good balance of challenge and creativity, while the theme and atmosphere really enhanced the sense of adventure. Highly recommended!”

Captivate Escape Rooms has eight incredible escape rooms, which makes them one of the largest escape room centers in Singapore!

If you’re into mysteries, “Crime Scene Investigation” is perfect. Or if you want a thrilling movie-like experience, the “Singapore Express” escape room is a must-try.

The rooms are packed with logical and solvable puzzles, with some fantastic electronic props and even secret rooms you’ll need to uncover.

What really stands out is their amazing staff, or as they call them, “escape masters.” The customers we talked to said they’re helpful and ready to give hints if you’re stuck.

Plus, all the games last about an hour and can fit 2 to 12 players, great for a fun group activity.

A couple of things to note, though: it can get pretty busy on weekends and holidays, so booking in advance is a good idea. And also, it’s a bit more on the pricey side, especially during peak times.

Pros

  • One of the largest escape rooms
  • Offers a variety of themes
  • Packed with logical and solvable puzzles
  • Features fantastic electronic props
  • Amazing staff

Cons

  • Can get busy on weekends and holidays
  • Higher prices during peak times

Fun, detail-oriented family experience
“Tried the Hansel & Gretel room with my kids, aged 10, 14, 15 & wife. It was a hilarious time with interesting puzzles to solve. The attention to detail in the design brought the story to life & made the experience fun. The puzzles were challenging but not frustrating, making it a perfect activity for the whole family. We loved how each clue tied into the fairy tale theme, and it was so rewarding to work together and solve them. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to spend time with your family, I highly recommend trying out “Hansel & Gretel”! We can’t wait to come back and try another room. We were a bit too loud though… disturbing the other rooms due to the thin wall & the staff had to tell us to keep the volume down.”

Challenging and fun escape rooms
“Our group of 4 adults and 3 kids had our first escape room experience here. The place was a little out of the way and was an interesting find. We chose the fantastic beasts room. No phones were allowed in, thus there are no photos of the rooms. The entrance to the room was lore worthy. Puzzles were quite tough, and we wouldn’t have made it through if not for hints from the staff. It was particularly due to the lack of obvious sequential progression, and we didn’t know which puzzle was for which key or areas. From understanding from our peers, other venues are in the form of room by room completion. Nevertheless, it was a pretty fun experience for us.”

They’ve got a great mix of rooms that are both challenging and fun, like the Haunted Hospital, Haunted School, and Tang Dynasty. Each room has a captivating storyline with puzzles that pull you right into the adventure.

Perfectly themed puzzles
“I came to Singapore for a short holiday and was curious when walking past the escape room stored. Intrigued, I looked it up and called my friends to go as well. We booked and enjoyed the whole experience. The puzzles and scares in this escape room were perfect for the story. Definitely recommend and will definitely do it again!”

Scary and fun escape room
“Me and my 3 best friends were hungry for an escape room that was scary enough for us not to sleep at night. That is when we came across “Not your business escape room”. We did the back to school room and it was super scary, but with the nice person on the walkie talkie giving us hints we managed to get through the scary room with smiles on our face. In the end, we all enjoyed it, and it was all worth it. (There are a lot of fun jumpscares and you will have to use your brain a lot).”
